Dudleyville, located near the confluence of the Gila and San Pedro Rivers along Highway 77, had a population of 1,323 at the 2000 census. The area is popular among birding enthusiasts due to its location next to the verdant San Pedro riparian zone
Dudleyville is home to Lionel Ruiz, who worked for 38 years for Kennecott and ASARCO mining companies before retiring in 1997. In 1992, Ruiz was elected to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Ray Unified School District for 25 years and is currently chairman of the Central Arizona Association of Governments.
