<%@LANGUAGE="JAVASCRIPT" CODEPAGE="1252"%> Copper Corridor - San Manuel

Located in the broad San Pedro River Valley in view of the Galiuros Mountains is the community of San Manuel, Del Webb’s first planned community inclusive of infrastructure such as parks and schools.  As a company town San Manuel was built to support the copper mining efforts of the Magma Copper Company.  When the mine, by then owned by BHP Billiton, closed for the last time in June 1999 the residents began to build a future based on industries other than mining.  The CCEDC has been part of building that new future.
